Doesn’t that sound exotic? Well, yes! Côte-de-Beaupré is packed with plenty of activities and great scenery to live a real and resourceful getaway. “Côte” in French means coast or hill, and both terms are really appropriate to describe the amazing location of the region, literally situated between river and mountains.
This summer will be the perfect time to discover the coast of Côte-de-Beaupré, as the new Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Pier is be opened. The pier stretches 300 meters into the waterway and even allows the arrival of a daily river shuttle, which makes the round trip from downtown Quebec City three times a day and which will thus give place to various tourist circuits. Amazing news, isn’t it?
On the threshold of the summer holidays, if you are either a sports enthusiast, a thrill seeker or a fan of nature, the area has something for everyone.

Mont-Sainte-Anne
If you like being active during your holidays, Mont-Sainte-Anne is surely meant for you. Pick your favorite: biking, hiking or a whole host of activities at the foot of the hills (pumptrack, kids’ playground, Disc Golf, and more to come this season, stay tuned!). Mont-Saint-Anne is buzzing with activity during the summer. Our favorites: bike down La Baptême or La Grisante from the summit, two trails built or re-built over the last 3 years that allow beginner and intermediate riders to start their ride from the summit and experience downhill biking. A lift ticket including only one way-up is now offered, allowing the cyclists to experience one of these rides, enjoy the breathtaking view at the summit and then head to the vast cross-country area… The best of both worlds!
New mountain bike event
This summer, in addition to the return of its traditional and adored Vélirium from August 5 to 7, Mont-Sainte-Anne will also host the mythical Crankworx Summer Series – Quebec City event on September 5, during the Labor Day long weekend. This new event, which will travel through Quebec’s 5 mountain biking destinations from September 1 to 5, will end with great fanfare in Beaupré with a Dual Slalom friendly-race open to all. In fact, a permanent dual slalom course will be built at the start of the summer and will officially be a legacy for the mountain and its cyclists. Whether it is to take part in the race or to experience the mountain festival atmosphere, it will be worthwhile for mountain bikers to put this date on their calendar!
