3-2-1, it’s snowing! And on the Côte-de-Beaupré, there’s no question of getting bored. A multitude of activities are offered for all tastes, desires, and budgets. Here are some suggestions for spending a pleasant time this winter in our beautiful region.

Snowshoeing
For a beautiful winter outing and to admire the well-snowed fir trees, there are several easy-level trails on the Côte-de-Beaupré.
The Mont-Sainte-Anne Saint-Julien area is not only a destination for cross-country skiing and fat biking, but also for snowshoeing. Whether it’s the 1.8 km small loop trail or the 5 km red creek trail, there’s plenty to stretch your legs and get rosy cheeks!
The Sentier des Caps de Charlevoix also offers day snowshoe trails with spectacular views of the Saint Lawrence River. Starting from Saint-Tite-des-Caps, the trails leading to the La Faille or Cap-Gribane shelters will work your cardio and muscles during a beautiful hike. For a gentler walk, take the 2.5 km Sentier des Lacs, which runs along the picturesque Lake St-Tite.

Created to protect migratory birds, among others, the Cap-Tourmente National Wildlife Reserve is home to nearly 20 bird species in winter, which can be observed along the feeder trail. The reserve also offers 6 km of trails leading to beautiful viewpoints. Psst, children can participate in the Grozoiseaux Challenge and winter games (welcome and information in a heated relay on weekends from January to March).

Cross-Country Skiing
One of the best playgrounds for cross-country skiers is in our region. With its 184 km of trails, including 176 km for skate skiing, the Mont-Sainte-Anne cross-country ski center will delight high-level athletes as well as amateurs, guaranteeing magnificent winter landscapes.

More than 35 km of cross-country ski trails, in free or classic style, are also set up at the Charlevoix welcome area of the Sentier des Caps. Located at an average altitude of 800 meters, the snow is exceptionally abundant and you will feel fully in nature. Cross-country ski rental, snowshoes, baby sled, a waxing room, three heated shelters, and a light catering service are offered to you.
Out of the Ordinary Activities
Fancy an original activity? Secrets Nordiques awaits you for a dog sledding outing. You can drive your own team of six husky dogs or ride in a classic sled led by a professional guide. The outing includes a visit to the Canine Village. We fall for these beautiful pooches!

If you like challenges, head to KCR Karting in Château-Richer to test your driving skills on snow aboard a studded-tire kart.
Not to mention the 320 kilometers of snowmobile trails that take you through the region, passing through the backcountry.

Get Your Skates On!
The many rinks of the Côte-de-Beaupré await you. Our favorites: the Lac du Faubourg rink in Saint-Ferréol-les-Neiges, a natural frozen lake offering a superb view, and the Domaine du Boisé de Boischatel, ith an ice trail, a covered hockey rink next to a slide, a snowshoe trail, and cross-country ski tracks. All access is free, enjoy!

Parc de la Chute-Montmorency
Located 15 minutes from Old Quebec, Parc de la Chute-Montmorency is a spectacular historical tourist site. Not only can you walk there in snowshoes, by foot, along the river, cross the suspension bridge, but you can also approach the 83-meter high waterfall and feel its full force. A little cable car tour for a complete visit!

Relaxing Moment at the Spa
After all these activities, you need to relax your muscles? Treat yourself to a thermal experience at Villéa Spa Mont-Sainte-Anne or at Spa des Neiges. Certain time slots allow access to children aged 5 and over. We bet this relaxing visit will calm the ardor of both young and old.
