3-2-1… and the holiday countdown is on! And in Côte de Beaupré, being bored is out of the question. A flurry of activities abounds to suit every taste, whim or budget. Here are a few suggestions for having a grand ole’ time in our lovely region.

Le Mont-Sainte-Anne

A must: Mont-Sainte-Anne! Perfectly positioned between Québec City and Charlevoix, it’s a genuine full-experience outdoor activity center. Alpine and cross-country ski lovers, snowshoers, fat bikers… Snowsport fans are sure to find their nirvana. For all calibre skiable terrain, a mixed trail network, heavenly landscapes and an outstanding view, plan yourself a day there. Or two.

Get Moving!

If you think vacation rhymes with sports and outdoor activities, then you’ll have plenty of choice. In Côte-de-Beaupré, fabulous trails await that are ideal for hiking and snowshoe romps.

Seasoned hikers, you’ll enjoy the Mestashibo. The western leg of the trail spans 13.8 kilometres and connects Chutes Jean-Larose (waterfalls) to Saint-Ferréol-les-Neiges Church. It mostly runs along the Sainte-Anne riverside, and its landscape is rugged but totally magical.

Only 15 minutes from Old Québec, Parc de la Chute Montmorency is a spectacular and historical visitor attraction. Not only can you explore it on snowshoes or on foot, but you can also trek along the river, cross the aerial suspension bridge and approach the soaring 83-metre falls to feel their sheer force.

Sentier des Caps is a charming trail through an enchanted forest, with ice-clad St. Lawrence River views gleaming off in the distance. The Saint-Tite-des-Caps trailhead offers snowshoeing, hiking and cross-country skiing. Equipment rentals on site.

Down Time

Are you thinking you need a pause to unwind and recharge? Treat yourself to some pampering. You surely deserve it!

On the shores of the St. Lawrence River in Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, Spa des Neiges proposes outdoor Nordic baths, sauna, hammam, tipis and relaxation areas. And why not book a massage, a treatment or even a Moroccan-inspired exfoliation? A magnificent view and an unforgettable moment of relaxation − what more could you ask for?

Blissful Lodgings
