Winter: Let it Snow!
A Snowmobiling Destination Like No Other
Québec is one of the world’s premier snowmobiling destinations. Marked trails in the Côte-de-Beaupré area pass through extraordinary landscapes that combine the magic of glistening snow with the charms of the frozen St. Lawrence River below. The region is part of a 342 km network of trails that lead to Québec City, Charlevoix, and the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region.
A Cross-Country Skier’s Paradise
Escape into 224 km of magnificent wooded trails, including 125 km of skating trails, at the Mont-Sainte-Anne Cross Country Skiing Center. It’s Canada’s No. 1 and the second biggest in North America. Enjoy the variety of trails, exceptional snow cover, and first-class maintenance. Use the wildlife interpretation panels to discover the nature all around you and then head back to put your feet up beside the fire after a hearty trek.
Your Choice for Fun
Winter is a time for getting closer to nature, whether through snowshoeing along Sentier des Caps in Charlevoix or observing wildlife at Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area. The legendary snowcone at Montmorency Falls Park is guaranteed fun for all the family, and since 2006 everyone has been talking about a unique activity in all of North America—ice canyoning at the frozen Jean Larose waterfalls from late December to March. Or why not go for a trip along Route de la Nouvelle-France and explore its countless attractions, museums, and art galleries!
Mittens at the ready—we have the very best snow conditions!
Right in the heart of nature, winter transforms the whole area into an enormous outdoor playground! What better way to unwind than with a delicious meal and glass of local wine before retiring to the comfort of your chalet after a packed day of outdoor fun?
The Trip of a Lifetime
From its Mont-Sainte-Anne base camp, Les Secrets Nordiques has got winter fun covered. A team of professional guides and 75 friendly dogs offers adrenaline-fueled dogsledding, snowshoeing, skijoring (skis pulled by dogs!), and kicksledding expeditions to individuals, families, and groups.
