More than 305 birds spiecies and the famous Greater Snow Goose are observed on Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area.

The Cap Tourment National Wildlife Reserve welcomes more than 305 species of birds, among others the Grand Snow Goose during the mirgration period. There is also an interpretation centre with many activities, as well as more than 20 km of hiking trails. The convergence of river, plains and mountains makes the Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area a place of outstanding beauty, rich in opportunities for observing nature in complete safety. The area is recognized as a wetland of international importance under the RAMSAR Convention and is famous for the breathtaking spectacle offered by the tens of thousands of Snow Geese that stop over every spring and fall. The site’s biodiversity is extensive: more than 300 species of birds and many mammal species can be seen here. An interpretation centre, a network of hiking trails and interpretation activities for the whole family makes Cap Tourmente an ideal natural setting to flirt with wildlife, all this less than an hour’s drive from Quebec City.
